Funeral services were held for James Byron Foret, 70, of Ville Platte, at the LaVille Funeral Home Chapel in Ville Platte at 1 p.m., Wednesday, August 20. Burial followed in the Evangeline Memorial Cemetery.
Mr. Foret died Monday, August 18, 2014, at Lafayette General Medical Center.
Survivors include his wife, Faye Foret of Ville Platte; one son, Burke Adam Guillory III of Ville Platte; two daughters, Dana Boone and Monique Renee Foret, both of Ville Platte; two brothers, Huey Foret and Harold Foret, both of Ville Platte; one sister, Joycelyn Foret Lee of Opelousas; seven grandchildren, Jonathan Reed, Joshua Reed, Justin Reed, Chelsie Foret Theriot, Brianna Balfer, Alex Causey and Christie Daniels; and one great-grandchild, Luke Rylan Theriot.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Orise and Adile Pitre Foret.
Revs. Ricky Boone and Kevin West officiated.
