James Douglas Arnold

Funeral services will be held for James Douglas Arnold, 55, of Ville Platte, at the Ardoin’s Funeral Home Chapel in Ville Platte at 2 p.m., Saturday, April 26. Burial will follow in the Te-Mamou Cemetery.
A devoted husband, father, grandfather, son, brother, uncle and cherished friend, Mr. Arnold died Thursday, April 24, 2014.
Survivors include the love of his life, his faithful wife of 23 years, Cathy Ann Arnold of Ville Platte; two sons, Kirk Vidrine of Lafayette and Marcus Vidrine and his wife, Kinsey, of Ville Platte; two precious grandchildren, Dylan and Madison Vidrine; his beloved parents, Edward and Shirley Arnold of Roanoke; two siblings, Ed Arnold and his wife, Nikki, of Westlake and Bonnie Mourvant of Iowa; two brothers-in-law, Wilbur Thompson and his wife, Anna, and Patrick Fontenot and his wife, Sandra, all of Ville Platte; and his niece and nephew, Belinda Simar of Belle City and James Ortego of Lake Charles.
He was preceded in death by his beloved sister, Debbie Fontenot; and his in-laws, Edward Fontenot and Lillie Mae Fontenot.
Rev. David Plunkett will officiate.
