VILLE PLATTE - Funeral services for James Ronald Vidrine, 68, will be held Friday July 29, 2016 at 1:30 p.m. at St. Peters Catholic Church in Grand Prairie with burial to follow in the St. Peters’s Cemetery.
Visitation will be held Thursday, July 28, 2016 from to 9 p.m. with a rosary being recited at 6:30 p.m. and will resume again Friday, July 29, 2016 at 8 a.m.
Vidrine, a resident of Plaisance and owner of Vidrine’s Grocery in Plaisance, passed away Tuesday July 26, 2016 at Lafayette General Hospital in Lafayette.
He is survived by his brothers Winton Vidrine and wife Janell of Washington, Hubert Vidrine Jr. and wife Tammy of Opelousas; seven nieces and nephews; 19 great-nieces and nephews; and two great-great-nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents Hubert Sr. and Lillian Miller Vidrine; and brother Hulen “Sam” Vidrine.
Pallbearers will be Colby Vidrine, Kade Vidrine, Gavin Vidrine, John Paul Aguillard, Tyler Fontenot, Spencer Fontenot, Nathan Fontenot, Matthew LaGrange and Braeden Vidrine.
LaVille Funeral Home of Ville Platte is in charge of the arrangements.
