Janell Fontenot

A memorial service was held for Janell Fontenot, 73, of Ville Platte, at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses in Pontchatoula on Sunday, February 14. Burial followed in the M.B. Fontenot Cemetery.
A loving mother, grandmother and sister, Ms. Fontenot died Tuesday, February 10, 2015, at her residence.
Survivors include four children, Rachel Cook, James Ward, Jaime Swint, and Jennifer Caston; eight grandchildren, Jared Cook, Kadin Cook, Britnee Hill, Garrett Swint, Bryanna Swint, Isabella Swint, Julia Caston and James Caston; one brother, Clifford Fontenot; and two sisters, Belle Normand and Loretta Andrus.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Alton Normand; her parents, Maxile Fontenot and Hazel Deville Fontenot; three brothers, Harris Fontenot, Edison Fontenot and Aaron Fontenot; and one sister, Grace Fontenot-Deville.
