Janie Marie Stephen Lafleur

Funeral services will be held for Janie Marie Stephen Lafleur, 65, of Ville Platte, at Ninth Baptist Church in Ville Platte at 11 a.m., Saturday, January 23. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Mrs. Lafleur died Tuesday, January 19, 2016, in Ville Platte.
Survivors include her father and step-mother, Vorice Stephen and Eula Stephen of Ville Platte; two daughters, Mazie D. Leichman (Raymond) of Grand Prairie, Texas, and Derona R. Lafleur (Derrel) of Ville Platte; two brothers, Clyde Lewis Stephen of Jacksonville, Florida, and Lucian Stephen of Ville Platte; three step-brothers, Harry Green of Houston, Texas, and Steven Green and Larry Green, both of New Orleans; three sisters, Patricia A. Ridgley of Ville Platte, Deidre G. Bradley (Joshua) of St. Landry, and Alfrenella Johnson of Texas City, Texas; one Godchild, Denage Piper (Janson) of Baton Rouge; 10 grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren; and a host of extended family members and friends.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Mazie Jane Stephen; one daughter, Tiffany M. Roberts; one sister, Corrine M. Stephen Watts; one brother, Vorice Lewis Stephen; and one step-sister, Deborah Alfred.
Visiting hours will be observed from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m., Saturday, January 23, at Ninth Baptist Church in Ville Platte.
Pastor Darwan Lazard will officiate.
