Funeral services for Jimmy Wilford Thrasher were held Friday, November 4, 2016 at Rush Funeral Home in Oakdale. Interment followed in Mt. Herman Cemetery in Franklinton.
Thrasher, 85, of Turkey Creek, passed away Tuesday, November 1, 2016 in Mercy Regional in Ville Platte. He built power lines in southeast Louisiana for 40 and he loved visiting.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Tom and Mary Thrasher; his wife, Christine Thrasher; and two sons, Phillip and Jimmy, Jr.
Those left to mourn his loss and cherish his memory include his son, Bruce Harvey and his wife, Linda, of Douglasville, Georgia.; three daughters, Sue Burns and her husband, T.J., of Lafayette, Annette Earwood, of Hixon, Tennessee and Cecelia Gautreaux and her husband, Michael, of DeRidder; one brother, John C. Thrasher, of Forest Hill; 10 grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren.
Rush Funeral Home in Oakdale was in charge of arrangements.
