John Ashley Soileau

Funeral services were held for John Ashley Soileau, 74, of Mamou, at St. Ann’s Catholic Church in Mamou at 1:30 p.m., Friday, February 5. Interment will be held at a late date.
A loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and friend, Mr. Soileau died Wednesday, February 3, 2016. He was loved and was an inspiration to all that knew him. He will be greatly missed.
Survivors include his wife of 55 years, Grace Ann Fontenot Soileau; three daughters, Brenda Lafleur, Jessica Pohl and her husband, Bruce, and Gretchell Rogers and her husband, Kenneth; 11 grandchildren, Justin, Ross, Jonathan, Morgan, Shem, Sloan, Lauren, Christopher, Nathanael, Stephen and Ethyn, along with their spouses; and nine great-grandchildren. He will also be missed by his life-long friends, Wilda and Venice Deville
Ardoin’s Funeral Home of Mamou was in charge of arrangements.
