PLAISANCE - Funeral services will be held for John Blake Dupre Sr., 52, of Belle Chase (formerly of Ville Platte), at the LaVille Funeral Home Chapel in Ville Platte at 1 p.m., Saturday, March 15. Burial will follow in the St. Andrew’s Cemetery in Plaisance.
Mr. Dupre died Wednesday, March 12, 2014, at Tulane Medical Center in New Orleans.
Survivors include his wife, Melanie Redd Dupre of Belle Chase; his mother, Mary Jane Dupre Martinez of Harvey; two sons, John Blake Dupre Jr. of Marrero and Dustin Joseph Dupre of Belle Chase; one step-son, Devin Michael Gallina of Gretna; two brothers, Kenneth Paul Dupre of Belle Chase and Robert James Dupre of Marrero; two sisters, Kimberly Terry LaBruzza of Marrero and Brenda Faye Dupre of Terrytown; one granddaughter, Blair Elizabeth Gallina; three nephews, Luke LaBruzza, Brad LaBruzza and Kody Dupre; and one niece, Madison Dupre.
He was preceded in death by his father, Joseph James Dupre; and his step-father, Nolton “Buddy” Oretgo.
