VILLE PLATTE - Funeral services for John D. Fontenot, 70, were held Friday November 4, 2016 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Burial followed in the Sacred Heart Mausoleum. Fr. Glodd officiated.
Fontenot, a resident of Ville Platte, passed away Wednesday November 2, 2016 at Opelousas General Health System. He was a retired grocery store owner and car salesman.
He will be sadly missed by his loving wife Elaine F. Fontenot of Ville Platte; sons, Todd Lane Fontenot and wife ,Chrisanna, John Darwin Fontenot Jr. and wife, Terry, all of Ville Platte; daughter Angela Marie Dautreuil and husband, Francis, of Houston; four grandchildren, Nathalie Marie Dautreuil, Landon Todd Fontenot, Morgan Elizabeth Fontenot, and Gabrielle Angelle Dautreuil; and two great-grandchildren, Luke Francis Dautreuil and Logan Kirby-John Dautreuil. He is preceded in death by his parents John Delta “PZ” and Anna Belle Tate Fontenot, and sister, Frenella Johnson.
LaVille Funeral Home in Ville Platte was in charge of arrangements.
