John Nell Deville

Funeral services were held for John Nell Deville, 73, of Ville Platte, at the Ardoin’s Funeral Home Chapel in Ville Platte at 11 a.m., Saturday, June 27. Burial followed in the Evangeline Memorial Park Cemetery.
A loving father, grandfather and friend, Mr. Deville died Tuesday, June 23, 2015, at Mercy Regional Medical Center in Ville Platte. He worked as executive chef for Antoine’s Restaurant in New Orleans for over 48 years.
Survivors include two sons, John Mitchell Deville and his wife, Laura, of Mesquite, Texas, and Nathan Deville and his wife, Danielle, of New Orleans; and one daughter, Barbara Deville Jacob of Mesquite, Texas. Also left behind to cherish his memory are his seven grandchildren, John, Nicholas, Tori, Brandon, Brian, Alayna and Mia; and his two great-grandchildren, Landon and Jeremy.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Deville; his parents, Gustave and Melinda Deville; and one sister, Mary Jane Deville LaFleur.
Deacon Gary Gaudin officiated.
