VILLE PLATTE – A private funeral service was held for John R. Turner on Thursday, December 15, 2016 at Ardoin Funeral Home of Ville Platte.
Turner, a resident of Ville Platte, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, December 13, 2016 following a short illness.
Turner had many artistic talents and skills and he loved to work with his hands. He will be remembered as a compassionate man that loved life and always had a smile on his face. John will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
He is survived by his beloved mother, Beverly Fontenot; brother, Jeffery Turner; sisters, Suzanne Turner and Jennifer Chapman; two daughters and two sons; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his father, David Turner; sisters, Cheryl Turner and Kathryn Turner; maternal grandparents, Jeff and Lucy Smith; and paternal grandparents, E.O. and Mildred Turner.
