John Vernel Ardoin

PINE PRAIRIE - Funeral services were held for John Vernel Ardoin, 84, of Pine Prairie, at the Ardoin’s Funeral Home Chapel in Ville Platte at 10 a.m., Wednesday, August 12. Burial followed in the Beaver Creek Cemetery.
Mr. Ardoin died Monday, August 10, 2015, at Prairie Manor Nursing Home in Pine Prairie.
Survivors include his loving wife of 36 years, Rose Ardoin of Pine Prairie; three sons, Myron Ardoin of Pine Prairie, Brant Ardoin of Lafayette and Shane Ardoin of Richmond, Virginia; one daughter, Dr. Kelree Brasseaux; one step-daughter, Dana Carraway of Pine Prairie; two brothers, Floyd Ardoin of Carencro and Leonard Ardoin of Ville Platte; and one sister, Lois Tolley of Pasadena, Texas. Also left behind to cherish his memory are his eight grandchildren, Myron Ardoin Jr., Brooks Ardoin, Samuel Ardoin, Victoria Ardoin, Lauren Dunlap, Eric Brasseaux, Kristen Ardoin and Bailey Ardoin; and six great-grandchildren, Lane Ardoin, Luke Ardoin, Emma Claire Ardoin, Kolby Ardoin, Hayden Ardoin and Daniel Dunlap; and two step-grandchildren, Sylare Carraway and Mariah Carraway.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Alfred and Lena Ardoin.
Father Tom Voorhies officiated.
