Funeral services will be held for Joseph Donald Bordelon, 62, of Pine Prairie, at St. Ann’s Catholic Church in Mamou at 1 p.m., Saturday, March 7. Burial will follow in the St. Ann’s Cemetery.
A loving father, brother, grandfather, great-grandfather, uncle and friend, Mr. Bordelon died Tuesday, March 3, 2015, at Grace Home of Alexandria.
Survivors include four sons, Shane Bordelon (Kristan) and Toby Bordelon, all of Pine Prairie, Shannon Bordelon (Paige Thibault) of Iota and Donnie Bordelon of Church Point; one step-daughter, Kristie Lynn Buxton of Oakdale; two brothers, Raymond Bordelon and Danny Bordelon, both of Pine Prairie; 19 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and a host of family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Pall bearers honored to serve will be Dylan Bordelon, Caden Duplechain, Alex Marcantel, Dakota Bordelon, Trevor Bordelon and Josh Lavergne.
Visitation will be held at First Baptist Church in Pine Prairie on Friday, February 6, from 2 p.m. until 10 p.m., then again on Saturday, February 7, from 8 a.m. until 12 noon.
Father Mark Melancon will officiate.
White Oaks Funeral Home of Oakdale will be in charge of arrangements.
