Funeral services were held for Joseph Elix Fontenot Jr., 62, of Ville Platte, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Ville Platte at 11 a.m., Wednesday, March 4. Burial followed in the M.B. Fontenot Cemetery.
A loving brother and uncle, Mr. Fontenot died Monday, March 2, 2015.
Survivors include one sister, Beverly Fontenot and her husband, James, of St. Landry. Also left behind to cherish his memory are his nephew, James Cody Fontenot of St. Landry; and his niece, Jenny Ann McIntyre and her husband, Robert, of Erwinville.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph Elix Sr. and Madeline Fontenot; and one brother, Elix Fontenot.
Father Brian Harrington officiated.
