LAWTELL - Funeral services will be held for Joseph Irby Comeaux, 78, of Ville Platte, at St. Bridget Catholic Church in Lawtell at 11 a.m., Friday, June 27. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
A native of Lawtell and long-time resident of Ville Platte, Mr. Comeaux died Wednesday, June 25, 2014, at Mercy Regional Medical Center in Ville Platte.
Survivors include five sons, Dale Comeaux and his wife, Gayle, Michael Comeaux, Carl Comeaux and his wife, Ruby, David Comeaux and Russel Comeaux, all of Ville Platte; one sister, Ella Mae Kolder and her husband, Richard, of Lafayette; five grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Goldie Lavergne Comeaux; his parents, Bercier and Bernice Richard Comeaux; and one daughter, Janell Comeaux.
Father Austin Leger will officiate.
