A memorial service will be held for Joycelyn Deshotel Fontenot, 89, of Ville Platte, at Our Lady Queen of All Saints Catholic Church in Ville Platte at 1 p.m., Saturday, August 22.
Ms. Fontenot died Saturday, August 8, 2015, in Ville Platte.
Survivors include two daughters, Fay Hackett Landreneau of Ville Platte and Gail F. Vidrine and her husband, George, of Baton Rouge; two sisters, Sable Jeanmard and Eva Jordan, both of Ville Platte; six grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and 25 great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, William and Emma Guillory Deshotel; her husband, Valcour Fontenot; and two sisters, Mable Fontenot and Grace Fontenot.
Father Mitchell Guidry will officiate.
