Lacey Marie Fontenot

April 2, 1987 - January 9, 2016
Funeral services were held for Lacey Marie Fontenot, 28, of Pine Prairie, at St. Peter’s Catholic Church in Pine Prairie at 2 p.m., Tuesday, January 12. Burial followed in the church cemetery.
A loving fiancé, daughter, granddaughter, sister and godmother, Ms. Fontenot died Saturday, January 9, 2016. She was a graduate of Pine Prairie High School and also graduated from of LSU-Alexandria with a degree in nursing. She was currently pursuing a nurse practitioner degree and working as a registered nurse at Rapides Regional Medical Center in Alexandria.
Survivors include her fiancé, Wade Cooper of Pineville; her parents, Daryl “Brent” Fontenot and Cynthia “Cindy” Manuel Fontenot; and two brothers, Joshua “Josh” Fontenot and his companion, Hannah Fontenot, and Troy Fontenot, all of Pine Prairie. Also left behind to cherish her memory is her maternal grandmother, Louvella Fruge Manuel of Pine Prairie. Lacey was also the loving Nanny of Maddox and Kennedy Fontenot and Tauntie of Keegan Fontenot.
She was preceded in death by her maternal grandfather, Roderick Manuel; and her paternal grandparents, Atney and Lena Guillory Fontenot.
