VILLE PLATTE - Funeral services for Leola “Blondie” Reed Derouselle, 83, were held Wednesday, August 17, 2016 at the First Baptist Church in Ville Platte. Burial followed in the Turkey Creek Cemetery in Turkey Creek. Rev. Kevin West officiated.
Derouselle, a resident of Ville Platte, passed away Sunday, August 14, 2016 at her residence.
She will be deeply missed by her loving family, son Patrick Derouselle and wife Jerrianne; daughters Ellen Dale Derouselle Lafleur and Debra Kay Derouselle Addington, all of Ville Platte; brother Bob Tracy Reed of Mamou; sisters Mary Ellen Dupre of Mamou and Sylvia Thompson of Knoxville, Tennessee; eight grandchildren, Casey Lafleur, Brandon Lafleur, Christie Derouselle Kramer and husband Etienne, Haley Derouselle Chaddrick and husband Glenn, Tucker Addington and wife Casie, Caleb Derouselle, Matthew Derouselle, Abigail Derouselle; 10 great grandchildren Colton Lafleur, Madison Lafleur, Gracie Mae Lafleur, Harleigh Lafleur, Hadaleigh Lafleur, Peyton Derouselle, Victoria Chaddrick, Cody Lane Chaddrick, Ryker Addington and Garic Addington. She is preceded in death by her parents Avabe and Leta Thompson Reed, husband John Ellis Derouselle, son Duaine Garic Derouselle, brother Jay Roy Reed and sister Leta Mae Marcantel.
LaVille Funeral Home of Ville Platte was in charge of the arrangements.
