Leslie Ray “Pee Wee” King

TURKEY CREEK - Graveside funeral services were held for Leslie Ray “Pee Wee” King, 68, of Pine Prairie, at the Turkey Creek Cemetery at 10 a.m., Wednesday, June 25.
Mr. King died Tuesday, June 24, 2014, at Opelousas General Hospital. He retired from the City of Ville Platte as a construction worker. He was a Pentecostal by faith. He was a loving father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend.
Survivors include his twin sister, Shirley King Hebert (Cloyde) of Beaver; sisters, Elvie Fuselier and Bernice Ardoin (Teddy), all of Pine Prairie, and Rachel Anthony (Ray) of Pollock; three brothers, Lonnie King (Marketa) and Mack King (Sherry), all of Lake Cove, and Arlen King (Debbie) of Pine Prairie; two grandsons; two step-grandsons; and numerous nieces, nephews, family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Murphy King and Maude Messer King; his wife, Geraldine Lee King; two sons, Heath Slade King and Stacey Ray King; three brothers, Elvin Lee King, Donnie King and Nolan King; and one sister, Kathy Robinson.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that donations be made to White Oaks Funeral Home, P.O. Box 776, Oakdale, La. 71463 to offset burial expenses.
Rev. Cody King officiated.
White Oaks Funeral Home of Oakdale was in charge of arrangements.
