LLOYD JOSEPH AYMOND

BUNKIE - A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered for Lloyd Joseph Aymond at 10 a.m. on Monday, July 11, 2016 at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church with the Rev. Scott Chemino officiating. Burial will follow in the Pythian Cememtery under the direction of Melancon Funeral Home in Bunkie.
Visitation will be at Melancon Funeral Home on Sunday, July 10, 2016 beginning at 3:30 p.m. with a Rosary Service at 5 p.m. Visitation will resume at the funeral home on Monday, July 11, 2016 from 8 a.m. to 9:45 a.m.
Aymond, 89, of Bunkie, passed away on Tuesday, July 5, 2016 at the Colonial Nursing Home in Marksville. He was a retired electrician and a World War II Army veteran. He was also a member of the Knights of Columbus Bunkie Council #2395, American Legion, VFW and the Home Builders Association. He is preceded in death by his wife, Mary Aymond; his parents, Deo and Verdie Gauthier Aymond and a brother, Freddie Aymond.
He is survived by his daughter, Cathy Payne and her husband, Keith, of Vidalia; his son, Ricky Aymond, of Bunkie; three grandchildren, Brandon Payne, Jennifer Aymond and Hunter Payne and five great grandchildren, Logan, Keiley, Bryleigh, Hailey and Brynia.
The Aymond family would like to extend a special thank you to Rayford Laborde and his family for the love and kindness that they shared with Lloyd.
