Loresa “Resa” Perron Fontenot

MAMOU - Funeral services were held for Loresa “Resa” Perron Fontenot, 75, Mamou, at St. Ann’s Catholic Church in Mamou at 10 a.m., Monday, August 4. Burial followed in the Reed Cemetery.
A loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother sister and friend, Mrs. Fontenot died Friday, August 1, 2014, at Savoy Care Center in Mamou surrounded by her family. She loved French music, her family and friends, camping, dancing, sewing, shopping and playing with her grandchildren.
Survivors include her husband of 44 years, Kelly Louis “Yo” Fontenot of Mamou; two sons, Joseph Kerry Fontenot and his wife, Sonya, of Mamou and David Neal Miller and his wife, Christine, of Lake Charles; one daughter, Stephanie Miller Taylor of Lake Charles; and two brothers, Doward Perron of Lake Charles and Carl Glyn Perron of L’anse Greis. She was further blessed with 10 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. They were the absolute light of her life.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Paul and Agnes Hollier Perron; and two sons, Darrin Miller and Anthony Louis Fontenot.
Father Mark Melancon officiated.
