VILLE PLATTE - Vistation for Lourie Fontenot Lafleur, 90, will be held Friday, December 16, 2016 at LaVille Funeral Home in Ville Platte from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m, with a rosary being recited at 6:30 p.m., and will resume again Saturday, December 17, 2016 at 8 a.m. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, December 17, 2016 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with burial to follow in the Gate of Heaven Cemetery. Fr. Tom Voorhies will officate.
Lafleur, a resident of Lafayette and a native of Ville Platte, passed away Wednesday, December 14, 2016 at Courtyard Manor in Lafayette.
She is survived by her sons, James Billy Lafleur and wife, Tricia, of Opelousas, Charles Bruno Lafleur and wife, Mona, of Lafayette; daughter, Mary Romona Ortego; brother, Dillard Fontenot, all of Ville Platte; sister, Irene Dufour, of Evergreen; 10 grandchildren; and 24 great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents, John and Sarah O’Connor Fontenot, and husband, James Lafleur.
LaVille Funeral Home in Ville Platte is in charge of arrangements.
