Louvine “Vine” Fontenot Guillory

Funeral services were held for Louvine “Vine” Fontenot Guillory, 91, of Mamou, at the Ardoin’s Funeral Home Chapel in Mamou at 10 a.m., Monday, January 13. Burial followed in the Ortego Cemetery in L’anse Greis.
Ms. Guillory died Friday, January 10, 2014, at Savoy Care Center in Mamou.
Survivors include one son, Austin Ray Pitre and his wife, Donna, of Milton; two daughters, Elizabeth Watson of Crooked Creek and Dorothy Beniot and her husband, Elrick, of Vidrine; two brothers, Daniel Fontenot and his wife, Mae, of Oakdale and Elvin Fontenot of Mamou; one sister, Sylvia “Totsie” Fontenot of Mamou; 12 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and 11 great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her two husbands, Idros Granger and Herbert Guillory; her parents, Adam and Armes Deshotels Fontenot; 11 brothers and sisters; and one grandchild, Erica Beniot.
At the request of the family, visitation will be held at Ardoin’s Funeral Home today, January 12, from 2 p.m. until 9 p.m. A Rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. this evening. The funeral home will reopen on Monday, January 13, from 8 a.m. until time of services.
Pastor David Plunkett officiated.
