Lucas Ray Messer

TURKEY CREEK - Funeral services were held for Lucas Ray Messer, 49, of Bayou Chicot, at First Baptist Church in Ville Platte at 3 p.m., Sunday, March 8. Burial followed in the Turkey Creek Cemetery.
A loving husband, father and grandfather, Mr. Messer died Friday, March 6, 2015, at his residence. His first love was reading his bible and being with his grandchildren.
Survivors include his loving wife of 30 years, Twyala Chaddrick Messer of Bayou Chicot; his mother, Juanita Bertrand Messer of Pineville; three sons, Lucas Nathaniel Messer, Brice Evan Messer and his wife, Kylie, and Christopher Glen Messer, all of Bayou Chicot; his maternal grandmother, Emily Bertrand of Pine Prairie; one brother, Paul Messer and his wife, Holly, of Ville Platte; three sisters, Rhonda Miller and her husband, Rick, of Grand Prairie, Lolly Blanchard and her husband, Scott, of Clearwater and Shannon Johnson and her husband, Keith, of Pineville; his greatest love, his two grandsons, Evan Lee Messer and Jace Conner Messer; his father-in-law, Herman Chaddrick, mother-in-law, Arlene Chaddrick, of Turkey Creek; and a host of nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, Earvin Messer.
