Mackie Nell “Coochie” Johnson Ardoin

Funeral services were held for Mackie Nell “Coochie” Johnson Ardoin, 76, at the Church of Christ in Turkey Creek at 11 a.m., Tuesday, May 10. Burial followed in the Addison Johnson Cemetery.
A loving mother and grandmother, Ms. Ardoin died Sunday, May 8, 2016, at Mercy Regional Medical Center in Ville Platte.
Survivors include her sons, Larry Ledoux and his wife, Audrey, of Bunkie and Steve Johnson and his wife, Jill, of New Iberia; and two daughters, Vickie Johnston and her husband, Ben, of Shreveport and Sandra McMurray and Clyde Gauthier of Bayou Chicot. Also left behind to cherish her memory are her nine grandchildren, Larry Bryant Ledoux, Toni Ledoux Ortego, Joshua Crane Ledoux, Curry Crane Ledoux, Jared Johnston, Zachary and Aaron Johnson, Richard McMurray Jr. and Jamie McMurray; and seven great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Stafford and Blanch Johnson; two brothers, Elvin and Wardie Johnson; and one sister, Pansy Clark.
Brother Jamie Roberts officiated.
