OPELOUSAS - Funeral services for Margery Fontenot, 90, were held Tuesday, November 8, 2016, in the Sibille Funeral Home Chapel of Opelousas. Interment followed in the Sacred Heart Cemetery in Ville Platte. Rev. Benny Reppond officiated the services.
Fontenot, a resident of Washington, passed away Monday, November 7, 2016, at Our Lady of Lourdes Regional Medical Center in Lafayette. She retired from State of Louisiana Department of Welfare Services in Ville Platte.
Survivors include her, sons, Robert Fontenot and his wife, Debbie, of Carencro, and Randy Fontenot and his wife, Donna, of Sunset; four grandchildren, Brady and Shaun Fontenot of Lafayette, Nathan Hebert of Lafayette, and Amy Briscoe of Carencro; and seven great-grandchildren, Amelie, Reese, Claire, Mallory, Lucy, Laney, and Lennox.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Curly and Marie Godeau Solieau, and her husband, Chester Fontenot and brother, C.L. Soileau.
Sibille Funeral Home of Opelousas was in charge of arrangements.
