MARIE JEANETTA SOILEAU HARMS
December 23, 1942 - June 28, 2015
2 Timothy 4:7- “I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race and I have remained faithful.”
As a devoted wife, mother, granny, great-granny, sister and friend, Mrs. Marie Jeanetta Soileau Harms had a true love for life and lived hers to the fullest. She enjoyed bowling, gardening, dancing, visiting with friends, her pets and most of all, family gatherings. Mrs. Harms never met a stranger and, with her loving personality, had many lifelong friends.
Mrs. Harms is survived by her husband, Ernie Harms; her children, Debra Aaron Clark, Tracy Aaron Thomas, Benjamin Aaron, Suzanne Harms Thompson, Jimmy Harms, Suzette Harms Langley; her sons and daughters-in-law, Brent Clark, Rob Thomas, Dena Aaron, Bobby Thompson, Sherry Harms and David Langley; her grandchildren, Derek Clark, Jessica Clark Hawkins, Brandon Adkinson, Carrie Adkinson Moorman, Brittney Thomas, Zachary Thomas, Shelby Aaron, Morgan Aaron, Kyle Harms, Kellie Pebbles, Isabella Langley and Preston Langley; her great-grandchildren, Shyla, Layla and Bella Clark, Chase and Kylee Adkinson and McKenna, Shane and Luke Moorman; her sisters, Leanne DeVille, Arline Fontenot, Cenevieve Fontenot and Tonnie Manuel; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Linton and Mattie Soileau; and sisters, Belle Soileau Cope and Lola Soileau Tate.
Mrs. Harms gave the ultimate gift of life by donating her body to science for cancer research in the hopes of finding a cure.
Memorial donations in her honor may be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital.
