MAURICE PITRE

VILLE PLATTE - A memorial service for Maurice Pitre will be held on August 11, 2016 at 10 a.m. at Our Lady Queen of all Saints Catholic Church in Ville Platte.
Pitre, 88, passed away Sunday, August 7, 2016.
He is survived by his four children, Chris Pitre and wife Hedy of Eunice, Carmen Moran of Miami, Florida, Steve Pitre and wife Cindy of Lake Charles and Liz Pitre of Ville Platte. He also leaves behind 11 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.
Pitre was a proud veteran of the United States Army. He worked many years at the Pitre Ford Co. in Ville Platte, owned and operated Maurice Pitre Auto Sales in Eunice and Maurice Pitre RV Sales in Ville Platte. Before retiring in the auto and RV business, he was awarded membership in Ford Motor Company’s Society of Professional Sales Managers in 1975.
In his leisure time, Maurice loved to hunt, fish and tend to his cattle. He truly loved his family and friends and always enjoyed meeting new people.
He is proceeded in death by his wife Mary Fontenot Pitre, son, Carlos Pitre and his brother, Elin Pitre.
