Melba Ruth Deshotel

VIDRINE - Funeral services will be held for Melba Ruth Deshotel, 72, of Vidrine, at St. Ann’s Catholic Church in Mamou at 12 noon, Saturday, February 21. Burial will follow in the Platin Cemetery in Vidrine.
A wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, great-mother, sister and friend, Mrs. Deshotel died Thursday, February 19, 2015.
Survivors include her husband, of 54 years, James B. Deshotel of Vidrine; three sons, J. Mark Deshotel and his wife, Lisa, of Vidrine, Eddie Deshotel and his wife, Elizabeth, of Boyce and Vincent P. Deshotel and his wife, Stacy, of Vidrine; one daughter, Melissa R. D. Miller and her husband, Adam, of Lake Charles; one brother, Anthony Deshotel and his wife, Dettie, of Vidrine; one sister, Judith Soileau of Vidrine; six grandchildren, Jordy Paul Deshotel, Ashlyn E. Deshotel, Margaret E. Deshotel, Kaleb J. Deshotel, Emily C. Deshotel, Ellen K. Deshotel; and two great-grandchildren, Justin Paul Deshotel and Madeline R. Deshotel.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Albert and Lessie Deshotel.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Hospice, at 200 South Seventh Street, Eunice, La. 70535.
Father Mark Melancon will officiate.
