Michael James Allen

Funeral services will be held for Michael James Allen, 62, of Mamou, at St. Ann’s Catholic Church in Mamou at 11 a.m., Saturday, January 31. Burial will follow in the Pine Claire Cemetery.
A loving husband, son, father, grandfather, brother and friend, Mr. Allen died Thursday, January 29, 2015, at his residence.
Survivors include his wife of 37 years, Clara Louviere Allen of Mamou; his mother, Marjis Allen of Mamou; one son, Malcolm James Allen of Mamou; four daughters, Melissa Allen Porter and her husband, Byron, of Little Rock, Arkansas, Katrina Ardoin and her husband, Brian, and Adrian Senegal and her husband, Harold, all of Mamou, and Ashley Malbrough and her husband, Brian, of Church Point; and one sister, Linda Allen Boseman of New Orleans. He was further blessed with 14 grandchildren. They were the absolute light of his life.
He was preceded in death by his father, Linton Allen; two brothers, Marshall Allen and Lennie Allen; and one sister, Evella Papillion.
Father Alphonse Thainese will officiate.
