Mitchell A. Briley

A memorial service will be held for Mitchell A. Briley, 73, of Grand Prairie, at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church Chapel in Belaire Cove at 2 p.m., Saturday, June 27.
Mr. Briley died Thursday, June 4, 2015. He retired from the New Orleans Public Belt Railroad. He was married to Verona Joy Smith for 25 years.
Survivors include his children and grandchildren, Tina Briley Norwood (Jason), Patricia Briley Duhon (Cory), Kyleigh and Hayden, Shelia Renee Briley Martin (James), Michael Martin; two brothers, John Briley and James Briley; two sisters, Euna Fontenot and Anita Fontenot; and his companion for many years, Connie Lacombe.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Ezied Dupre Briley and Melvin Briley; five brothers; and three sisters.
