MAMOU - Funeral services were held for Nancy Lou Deshotels, 79, of Mamou, at the Ardoin’s Funeral Home Chapel in Mamou at 2 p.m., Sunday, April 17. Burial followed in the Veillon Cemetery.
A loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and friend, Ms. Deshotels died Saturday, April 16, 2016, at Mercy Regional Medical Center in Ville Platte.
Survivors include two children, Elward Deshotels Jr. and his wife, Elsie, and Sonya M. Deshotels and her friend, Kerry Fontenot, all of Mamou; one sister, Linda Gail Guillory of Alexandria; five grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Elward Deshotels Sr.; and her parents, Milton and Percy Veillon Fuselier.
Pastor Becky LaFleur officiated.
