Norma Fontenot Manuel

Funeral services were held for Norma Fontenot Manuel, 78, of Point Blue, at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Catholic Church in Chataignier at 2 p.m., Sunday, October 27. Burial followed in the Evangeline Memorial Cemetery.
Mrs. Manuel died Friday, October 25, 2013, at St. Landry Extended Care Hospital in Opelousas.
Survivors include her husband, Joseph Norris “Black” Manuel of Point Blue; two sons, Carl Brent Manuel and his wife, Rosie, of Ville Platte and Michael Keith Manuel of Point Blue; one brother, Winston Fontenot of Ville Platte; three granddaughters, Melissa Deville and her husband, Robert, Jesslyn Perrodin and her husband, Jude, and Katie Manuel and Darrel Fontenot; and six great-grandchildren, Anna Deville, Zachery Deville, Ava Bolfa, Landon Perrodin, Ella Manuel and Ryar Fontenot.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Gus and Ollie Ardoin Fontenot; and one granddaughter, Kimberly Manuel.
