Pearl Joubert Briley

WASHINGTON - Funeral services were held for Pearl Joubert Briley, 87, of Grand Prairie, at St. Peter’s Catholic Church in Grand Prairie at 11 a.m., Monday, January 13. Burial followed in the Cedar Hill Cemetery in Washington.
A resident of Grand Prairie, formerly of Garland, Ms. Briley died Friday, January 10, 2014, after a lengthy illness.
Survivors include one son, Ashton Briley Jr. and his wife, Margaret B., of Grand Prairie; one sister, Helen O’Connor of Ville Platte; five grandchildren, Suzanne Tuminello and her husband, Joey, Melissa Davis and her husband, George, Nicky Briley and his wife, Gretchen, Chris Briley and his wife, Angie, and Deidra Ortego and her husband, Troy; and 12 great-grandchildren, Joey Tuminello III, Madeline Briley, Carlye Davis, Catherine Briley, Jacob Ortego, Ashton Briley, Garrett Ortego, Maria Ortego, Annabeth Briley, John Christopher Briley, George Ashton Davis and Isabella Briley.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ashton Briley Sr.; her parents, Louis Jr. and Anastasia Smith Joubert; two brothers; and two sisters.
