Penny Edward Ardoin

Funeral services will be held for Penny Edward Ardoin, 50, of Mamou, at the Williams Funeral Home Chapel in Ville Platte at 10 a.m., Saturday, January 4. Burial will follow in the Ninth Baptist Church Cemetery.
Mrs. Ardoin died Wednesday, January 1, 2014, at Savoy Medical Center in Mamou.
Survivors include her husband, Wilton Ardoin of Mamou; two sons, Albert Durgan of Lake Charles and Santanna Durgan of Mamou; one daughter, Shanyetta Hypolite and her husband, Darrel, of West Lake; three step-children, Brian Ardoin and his wife, Katrina, of Prairie Ronde, Sylvia Ardoin of Sulphur and Christina Jack of Ville Platte; one brother, Clifton Durgan of Texas; four sisters, Stephanie Thomas and her husband, Hayward, of Ville Platte, Felicia Richard and her husband, Kenneth, of Opelousas, and Valerie Edward and Kathy Durgan, both of Oakdale; 13 grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Bertenies and Cecilia Edwards; one sister, Paula Edwards; and one grandchild, Kadrian Richard.
Rev. Tate Ardoin will officiate.
