Ramiro “Cid” Cedillo

August 27, 1944 - September 9, 2014
A memorial service will be held for Ramiro “Cid” Cedillo, 70, of Ville Platte, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Ville Platte at 11 a.m., Saturday, September 27.
Mr. Cedillo died peacefully at his home surrounded by his beloved family after a long and courageous battle with cancer. He was a devoted family man and was also very involved in his community. He strongly believed in giving back what was bestowed upon him. He served his country with great honor and pride as a soldier in the United States Army. Since 1983, he owned and operated, along with his two sons, Cedillo Communications and was a long-time member of the Knights of Columbus. He also enjoyed camping, fishing and being in the company of his many friends, but his favorite pastime of all was spending time with his beloved grandson.
Survivors include two sons, David Cedillo and his wife, Pam, and Todd Cedillo, all of Ville Platte. His legacy will be carried on by his one and only grandchild, Adam Cedillo of Ville Platte. Also left behind are his mother, Felipa M. Cedillo of Caldwell, Idaho, and his siblings, Ricardo Cedillo of Nampa, Idaho, Hector Cedillo of Oceanside, California, Rudy Cedillo of Boise, Idaho, Rachel C. Garcia of Caldwell, Idaho, Janie C. Archuleta of Caldwell Idaho, Rosa C. Rotchenberger of Tigard, Oregon, Hilda C. McCleery of Nampa, Idaho, and Sylvia C. Reyes of Caldwell, Idaho. His bright smile and happy-go-lucky attitude will be fondly recalled by his countless friends and business associates. He will be missed by all whom were lucky enough to have crossed paths with him on his journey here on earth.
He was preceded in death by the love of his life, his precious wife, Carolyn Cedillo; his father, Reymundo Cedillo; and one brother, Rene Cedillo.
Father Brian Harrington will officiate.
