Richard Edward Grim

Funeral services will be held for Richard Edward Grim, 71, of Ville Platte, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Ville Platte at 2 p.m., Thursday, January 1. Burial will follow in the Old Ville Platte Cemetery.
Mr. Grim died Monday, December 29, 2014, at his residence. He was a proud veteran, having served his country in the United States Army.
Survivors include one son, Richard “Brian” Grim and his wife, Crystal, of Lecompte; one daughter, Jessica Brown and her husband, Ryan, of Ville Platte; one son-in-law, Donnie Morales of Ville Platte; one brother, Donnie Grim of Washington State; and one sister, Sandy Mercieca of Florida. Also left behind to cherish his memory are his six grandchildren, Jeremy Morales, Joshua Morales, Maggie Morales, Raegan Grim, Sawyer Grim and Jordan Brown; and one great-grandchild, Ava Fontenot.
He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Gloria Ann Fontenot Grim; and one daughter, Cristina G. Morales.
At the request of the family, contributions may be made payable to Ardoin’s Funeral Home in lieu of flowers on behalf of Mr. Grim’s services, 709 West Main St., Ville Platte, LA 70586.
Father Brian Harrington will officiate.
Ardoin’s Funeral Home of Ville Platte will be in charge of arrangements.
