Ricky Ward Haviland

MAMOU - Funeral services will be held for Ricky Ward Haviland, 60, of Turkey Creek, at St. Ann’s Catholic Church in Mamou at 1 p.m., Friday, March 11. Burial will follow in the Ardoin Cemetery in Mamou.
Mr. Haviland died Friday, March 4, 2016, at his residence.
Survivors include his mother, Elwyn S. Fontenot of Ville Platte; two sons, Ricky Shaw Haviland and his wife, Michelle, of Turkey Creek and Joseph Stagg Tony Haviland and his wife, Candice, of Lake Cove; three daughters, Tawnya Marie Deshotel and her husband, Ricky, of Mamou, Naomi Elwyn Roy and her husband, Scotty, of Abbeville and Patricia Ann Haviland and Travis Clark of Turkey Creek; friends, George Allen Tomerlin, Todd Tomerlin and Gracie Carpenter, all of Turkey Creek; two brothers, Tony Ray Haviland and his wife, Jennifer, of Jonesville and Patrick Fontenot; and four sisters, Brenda Richard and her husband, Roderick, of Jennings, Debbie Ann Haviland and Dawna Fontenot, both of Ville Platte, and Linda Fontenot of Mamou.
He was preceded in death by his father, Chester Haviland; and one son, William Clarence Haviland.
The family requests that visiting hours be observed today, March 10, from 10 a.m. until 10 p.m. The funeral home will reopen Friday, March 11, from 8 a.m. until time of services.
Deacon Chuck Ortego will officiate.
