Rita Aucoin Drummond

Funeral services were held for Rita Aucoin Drummond, 62, of Ville Platte, at First Baptist Church in Ville Platte at 1 p.m., Friday. September 19. Burial followed in the Pine Point Cemetery.
A loving wife, mother and grandmother, Mrs. Drummond died Wednesday, September 17, 2014, at Savoy Medical Center in Mamou.
Survivors include her husband, Charles Louis Drummond Sr. of Ville Platte; her mother, Evertra Soileau of Ville Platte; her step-father, R.A. Soileau of Ville Platte; one son, Charles “Chip” Louis Drummond Jr. and his companion, Shatasha, of Ville Platte; three daughters, Tiffany Lynn Hall and her husband, Brandon, of Reddell and Amanda Brassell and her husband, Jason, and Leah Drummond, all of Ville Platte; brothers and sisters; and 11 grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her father, Wilford Aucoin; and one brother, Jonathan Brent Aucoin.
