Rodney Joseph Soileau

Funeral services will be held for Rodney Joseph Soileau, 79, of Ville Platte, at Our Lady Queen of All Saints Catholic Church in Ville Platte at 10 a.m., Thursday, November 19. Burial will follow in the Te Mamou Cemetery.
Mr. Soileau died Monday, November 16, 2015, at Prompt Succor Nursing Home in Opelousas.
Survivors include his wife, Eloise Thompson Soileau of Ville Platte; two sons, David Soileau and his wife, Judith, of Mamou and Timothy Soileau and his wife, Wendy, of Ville Platte; one daughter, Debra Ortego and her husband, Todd, of Eunice; one brother, Lennis Soileau and his wife, Mary, of New Mexico; one sister, Geraldine Vidrine of Ville Platte; nine grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Sam and Adelie Vidrine Soileau; and three brothers, Howard Soileau and his wife, Elizabeth, Emile Soileau and his wife, Joyce, and Pierre Soileau and his wife, Agnes.
Father Mitch Guidry will officiate.
