ROGERS “ROCK” TATE

MAMOU - A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated for Rogers “Rock” Tate July 12, 2016 at St. Ann’s Catholic Church in Mamou. Rite of Committal followed in the Platin Cemetery with Father Thainese as Celebrant.
Tate, 67, passed away at his residence.
Tate was a veteran of the United States Army having made a tour of duty in Vietnam. He enjoyed his family and always went out of his way if someone needed help.
A wonderful husband, father, brother, grandfather and friend Tate will be greatly missed by his wife of 46 years, Linda Tassin Tate ; one son, Kevin Daniel Tate and one daughter, Rebecca Tate Duhon and husband, David Andrew, all of Vidrine; one brother, Michael Kent Tate of Venice; three sisters Geneva Morgan of Slidell, Patricia Tate Urssey of Marksville and Veronica “Kay” Thompson of Vidrine; five grandchildren, Evan Duhon, Elizabeth Duhon, Cohen Duhon, Sophia Duhon and Emma Katherine Duhon
Tate will now reunite in Heaven with his parents, Howard and Florence Tate and one brother, Joseph Alwood Tate. They surely await his arrival with open arms and joyous hearts.
Ardoin’s Funeral Home of Mamou was in charge of arrangements.
