Rogers Joseph Greene Sr.

MAMOU - Funeral services were held for Rogers Joseph Greene Sr., 69, of Mamou, at St. Paul Baptist Church in Mamou at 10 a.m., Friday, December 26. Burial followed in the church cemetery.
Mr. Greene died Friday, December 19, 2014, at his residence.
Survivors include his loving wife of 49 years, Lula Celestine Greene of Mamou; his mother, Loress Fontenot Greene of Mamou; two sons, Rogers Greene Jr. (Metesa) of Tacoma, Washington, and Reggie Greene (Shauntara) of Houston, Texas; one daughter, Lahoma Marie Thomas of Seattle, Washington; three sisters, Lou Bertha Jack (Gilbert) of Oakdale, Louanna Simpson (Larry) of Reddell and Joycelyn Hall of Mamou; four grandchildren, Cedric P. Thomas, Brennan Thomas, Saibren Thomas and Noelle C. Greene; and a host of extended family members and friends.
He was preceded in death by his father, Samuel Greene; and three brothers, Jeffery J. Greene, Linton Greene and Gibson Greene.
Visiting hours will be observed from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m., Friday, December 26, at St. Paul Baptist Church.
Rev. Ray Johnson officiated.
