Rynell “R.B.” Fontenot

Funeral services were held for Rynell “R.B.” Fontenot, 75, of Ville Platte, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Ville Platte at 1 p.m., Monday, March 30. Burial followed in the Evangeline Memorial Cemetery.
Mr. Fontenot died Friday, March 27, 2015, at St. Landry Extended Care Hospital in Opelousas.
Survivors include his wife, Emma Joy S. Fontenot of Ville Platte; two daughters, Julie Fontenot Dupree and her husband, David, of Rayville and Jenny Fontenot Lafleur and her husband, Kurt, of Grand Prairie; one brother, Kenneth B. Fontenot of Ville Platte; two sisters, Emerella F. Soileau and Ruth F. Brewer, both of Ville Platte; and four grandchildren, Ryan Dupree, Emily Dupree, Rebecca Thomas and Daniel Thomas.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Ned and Leperle Fontenot; one brother, Huey B. Fontenot; and one sister, Gloria F. Grim.
Father Brian Harrington officiated.
