Shirley Mae Brown

Funeral services were held for Shirley Mae Brown, 75, of Ville Platte, at the Ardoin’s Funeral Home Chapel in Ville Platte at 10 a.m., Saturday, November 1. Burial followed in the M.B. Fontenot Cemetery.
A loving mother, grandmother, sister and friend, Ms. Brown died Thursday, October 30, 2014, at her residence.
Survivors include her devoted children, Kenneth Brown and his wife, Gwen, of Pine Prairie, Darrell Brown and his wife, Tina, and Derrick “T Boy” Brown and his wife, Rhonda, all of Ville Platte, and Sherry Vidrine and her husband, Kenneth, of Bayou Chicot. She was blessed with nine grandchildren, Wendy Fontenot, Stephanie Matherne, Haley and Katie Brown, Amber and Kenny Vidrine and Ethan, Austin and Taylon Brown; and further blessed with four great-grandchildren, Joshua, Hannah and Aliona Fontenot and Aiden Matherne. She also leaves behind one sister, Rosa Cooley and her husband, Ross, of Leesville.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Joseph Eull Brown; her parents, Joseph and Lolita Fontenot LeBleu; and two sisters, Eura Jane Bourque and and Eula Bourque.
