Suzanne Johnson Aguillard

CHATAIGNIER - Funeral services were held for Suzanne Johnson Aguillard, 95, of Chataignier, at First Baptist Church in Chataignier at 11 a.m., Tuesday, May 24. Burial followed in the church cemetery.
A loving mother, grandmother, sister and aunt, Ms. Aguillard died Friday, May 20, 2016, at Prairie Manor Nursing Home in Pine Prairie.
Survivors include two daughters, Marguerite “Margo” Aguillard Boniol and her husband, Ed, of Meeker and Jacqueline “Jacky” Aguillard Warburton and her husband, John, of Mankato, Minnesota; one son, Calvin Dwain Aguillard and his wife, Toni, of Ville Platte; and two sisters, Nancy Johnson Moreau of Lawtell and Dorothy Johnson Aguillard Borison of Lafayette. Also left behind to cherish her memory are her 11 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandson; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Fergus and Marguerite Annonciation Johnson; her husband, Calvin Aguillard; one brother, Jesse Johnson; and one sister, Yvonne Johnson LaHaye Hebert.
Pall bearers honored to serve were Tim Johnson, John LaHaye, Mark Warburton, Matthew Williamson, Garrett Lyon, Ben Homolka and Nicholas Homolka.
The family would like to give special thanks to Rev. Gary and Elaine Mitchell, Bobby and Margie Courvelle, Chataignier Baptist Church family for their prayers and visits, Joyce Letigue, special care giver, Tawanna “Cookie” Johnson, Hospice CNA, and the Prairie Manor Nursing Home staff.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the First Baptist Church in Chataignier.
