Vickie Marie Marcantel

MAMOU - Funeral services were held for Vickie Marie Marcantel, 53, of Point Blue, at the Ardoin’s Funeral Home Chapel in Mamou at 10 a.m., Tuesday, August 19.
A loving wife, daughter, mother, grandmother, sister and friend, Mrs. Marcantel died Sunday, August 17, 2014, at her residence surrounded by her family. She was a nurse and really enjoyed having her grandchildren.
Survivors include her husband of 33 years, Danzel Marcantel Jr. of Point Blue; two sons, Danzel “ Trey” Marcantel III and his wife, Lainey, and Logan Wayne Marcantel, all of Point Blue; one daughter, Kristy Marcantel Thibodeaux and her husband, Jonathon, of Bayou Chicot; her parents, Eugene and Ruth Fontenot of Point Blue; one brother, Robby Fontenot of Point Blue; one sister, Cindy Connor and her husband, John, of Eunice; and her father and mother-in-law, Danzel and Barbara Marcantel of Mamou. She was further blessed with five grandchildren and one bundle of joy on the way. They were the absolute light of her life and she never missed an opportunity to boast about them.
