Warren Joseph Fontenot

KILLEEN, Texas - a private committal service for Warren Joseph Fontenot, 83, of Mauriceville, Texas, will be held at the Central Texas Veterans Cemetery in Killeen, Texas, at a later date.
Mr. Fontenot died Thursday, August 28, 2014, in Beaumont, Texas. He was born in Opelousas to the late Guilliam and Elena (Manuel) Fontenot. A resident of Mauriceville, Texas, for the past 20 years, he was a former longtime resident of Mamou. He was a graduate of LSU, a retired teacher with Mamou Elementary School, a member of St. Maurice Catholic Church and served his country as a First Lieutenant in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War.
Survivors include his wife, Michael Fontenot of Mauriceville, Texas; three sons, Stuart Fontenot of Round Rock, Texas, and Konrad Fontenot and Warren J. Fontenot Jr., both of Mauriceville, Texas; one daughter, Simone Jones of Tyler, Texas; and seven grandchildren.
Claybar Kelley-Watkins Funeral Home of Beaumont, Texas, will be in charge of arrangements.
