Warren Pierrotti

MAMOU - Funeral services will be held for Warren Pierrotti, 90, of Mamou, at St. Ann’s Catholic Church in Mamou at 11 a.m., Thursday, July 24. Burial will follow in the New St. Ann’s Cemetery.
A loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and friend, Mr. Pierrotti died Monday, July 21, 2014, at Acadian Medical Center in Eunice. He was a veteran of World War II, having served in the United States Navy. He was a retired Postmaster after 34 years of service and also was Mayor of Mamou, serving 16 years in office.
Survivors include his wife, Diana B. Pierrotti of Mamou; six sons, Kenneth Mark Pierrotti of Gretna, Stephen Warren Pierrotti of Gonzales, Carl Mitchell Pierrotti of Eunice, Warren (Chip) Pierrotti of Baton Rouge, John Scott Pierrotti of Summerville, South Carolina, and Luke Latour Pierrotti of Ragley; two daughters, Gwendolyn Pierrotti of Abita Springs and Jill Allison Schoeffler of Eunice; two step-sons, Eric Soileau of Reddell and Jody Soileau of Mamou; and two step-daughters, Suzanne Duplechain and Sara Miller, both of Mamou. He was further blessed with 32 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren. They were the absolute light of his life.
He was preceded in death by the mother of his children, Helen LaTour Pierrotti; one daughter, Melissa Denise Pierrotti; his parents, Willie and Ozilma Aucoin Pierrotti; three brothers, Burke, Horace and Johnny Pierrotti; and two sisters, Gayle Johnson and Evelyn Fuselier.
Father Mark Melancon and Father Alphonse Thainese will officiate.
