Oilers fall to Chiefs in Regional opener, 8-7

The Eunice Oilers dropped a narrow 8-7 decision to the Heyman Chiefs Thursday in the opening game of the American Legion Southwest Sub-Regional Tournament.

Dropping into the loser's bracket of the double-elimination tournament, the Oilers will play again Friday morning at 9:30 a.m. against the loser of Thursday night's game between the New Iberia Cajuns and the Opelousas Indians.
