Oilers head to Sub-Regionals

The Eunice Oilers begin their quest for a berth in the American Legion state tournament today at Acadian Ball Park in New Iberia.
The Oilers, District Seven East runners-up, will face the Heyman Chiefs (District Three Champions) at 9 a.m. in the opening game of the Southwest Sub-Regional.
The winner will take on the New Iberia/Opelousas winner at 4 p.m. on Friday.
The Eunice/Heyman loser will face the New Iberia/Opelousas loser at 9:30 a.m. Friday.
Other teams in the tournament include Crowley, Opelousas Indians, Moss Bluff, Abbeville, New Iberia amd Delhomme.
The tournament concludes at 1 p.m. Monday with an if-necessary game set for 7 p.m.
